  1. Just watched this. That was insane! Some really cool shots in there. When Dafoe had the light ray eyes and the very last scene of Pattinson being pecked alive seemed epicly mythological. That distorted scream Pattinson does when he's looking directly into the light was crazy too!

  2. The Lighthouse is a phallic beacon that illuminates that the dark recesses of the human condition. The great white "wail" of its siren call conjures up the Leviathan Moby-Dick from its depths. Don't "spill the beans" and fart out its dark secrets from the bowels of the earth. This is a fully realized masterpiece that serves as a superior companion piece to The Witch with its similar climatic ending from opposite sexes that cancel each other out. Eggers is a force of nature to be reckoned with.
